I am particularly interested in investigating the soil and geological strata of the Stratford upon Avon area, with a focus on Clifford Chambers. The region holds significance for Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic geology, offering rich material for research. Field investigations and museum visits will be integral to the work. I plan to visit the Market Hall Museum in Warwick and the Lapworth Museum of Geology in Birmingham to study the area and materials that could inform my practice.                    My practice is rooted in slow and embodied research, and the residency would provide time and space to deepen engagement with the landscape. I aim to investigate local geology, sandstones, ironstones, and clays and their historical significance for pigments. This research will form the basis for a visual language grounded in strata classification, connecting nature, history, and materiality. I am committed to careful listening, observation, and dialogue with both environment and community.                                                                                        2023 Kinship With Birds in Flight and Plight, a photographic image included in an artist’s catalogue of                                                                                        the same name, hosted by Women Eco Artists (WEAD)                                                                                                        Through walking and dialogue I aim to draw attention to the interconnectedness between human activity and the natural world, creating work that reflects care, resilience, and our connection to the earth.
